Common Questions

Do you deliver?

Delivery is available and charged at $2/km from Port Carling for each trip (pickup and or drop off).

What shall I wear?

Dressing properly is key to a good snowmobile experience. Snowmobile gear is built to withstand wind sheer that regular outdoor winter clothing will not. If you do not have snowmobile gear, we recommend downhill ski gear, which is just as warm and built to withstand wind sheer. If you need snowmobile clothing, we have very warm boots, pants and coats available for rental.
Here is a list of clothing you will need to bring that we do not rent:
A good pair of winter ski gloves or snowmobile gloves is essential. (No mittens or casual outdoor winter gloves.)
Balaclava or Neck Warmer
Layered Under-clothing is recommended especially wicking or synthetic fabrics such as a wool sweater or synthetic or technical long sleeve sweater/shirt.

How old do you have to be to be a passenger?

All drivers must be 18 years old with a valid non-restricted drivers license. Passengers need to be old enough to wear a XS helmet.

I have no snowmobile experience, should I rent a snowmobile?

Participants do require experience to rent a snowmobile, however you do not require experience if you would like to do a customized guided tour or Introduction to Snowmobile Tour. A guided tour or Introduction to Snowmobiling Tour will help you develop your skills before the tour begins.

Where do we snowmobile?

MSR operates in Central and Northern Ontario, depending on the snow conditions, trail conditions and time of year. All tours take place on approved OFSC trails, a system of over 28,000 km's of maintained trails that span the province of Ontario and connect into the snowmobile trail system in Quebec.

What do I need to bring?

It is essential that drivers bring their drivers license and credit card. All participants must bring appropriate clothing. If there is a dinner or lunch stop, then you will need to bring a payment method for your meal. If you are considering a multi day tour, ask us for a list of items you will need to bring.
